ⓘ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Is a 2-day tour enough to truly experience the Amazon?
A: Absolutely. This tour is expertly designed to be a compact yet immersive Amazonian experience. In just two days, you will witness the region's most famous highlights near Manaus, including the incredible Meeting of the Waters, visit an Indigenous community, stay overnight in a jungle lodge, and see pink river dolphins. It's a perfect introduction for those with limited time.
Q: What is the "Meeting of the Waters"?
A: It is a stunning natural phenomenon and one of the Amazon's top sights. It's the point where the dark, acidic waters of the Rio Negro meet the sandy, sediment-rich waters of the Solimões River. Due to differences in temperature, speed, and density, the two rivers flow side-by-side for several kilometers without mixing, creating a distinct visual line in the water.
Q: Will I really get to see pink river dolphins?
A: Yes, sightings are highly likely. The tour visits a fluvial base dedicated to the conservation of river dolphins. Here, you will have a unique and responsible opportunity to see and learn about the Amazon's famous pink and grey river dolphins in their natural habitat.
Q: What is the Amazon Camp Lodge like?
A: The Amazon Camp Lodge is a rustic yet comfortable jungle lodge designed to offer an authentic overnight experience in the rainforest. It provides essential amenities, including meals and clean lodging, allowing you to safely immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the nocturnal jungle.
Q: What vaccinations are recommended for the Manaus area?
A: Health recommendations for the Amazon can change. We strongly advise that you consult your doctor or a dedicated travel clinic well in advance of your trip for the latest advice on necessary vaccinations (such as Yellow Fever) and malaria prevention for the Manaus region of Brazil.
